Some of you will shortly receive a notice from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services this year concerning the status of your pesticide license. In that notice they will alert you to the fact that your license will expire if you did not receive recertification training by September 2017.
IF YOU PLAN TO PURCHASE OR USE RESTRICTED USE PESTICIDES, YOU MUST BE RECERTIFIED.
With this in mind, an upcoming training here in Caswell County have been arranged.
“V” training will take place in the Caswell County Extension Building Kitchen after lunch on Tuesday, March 7th from 1:00-3:00 PM and also in the evening on Tuesday, March 7th from 5:00-7:00 PM. These two different times have been set up for your convenience to fit your work schedule. There will be 2 hours of recertification “V” credits given.
After looking through the Caswell County list of folks, some of you still need additional credits in order to be recertified. I strongly suggest that if you need these “V” credits (2 hours every three years for “V” credits and 2 hours every three years for “X” credits) to attend one of the above times (Day-time or Night-time for your convenience).
Those folks knowing someone that may want to get a pesticide license (private and/or commercial); should contact me immediately so I can give you the information to order for study materials and pre-registering beforehand. We will not be offering a pesticide license exam this year in the county. You will have to go to another county for obtaining a new license. Pre-registering for the exam is required through NCDA. Call my office for details.
To register for one of the “V” classes call the Caswell County Extension Office at 336-694-4158. If you have any questions concerning your pesticide license renewal or how many credits that you currently have; do not hesitate to give me a call.
