74th Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale

Is this your first year participating in our Livestock Show? Are you thinking about participating but not sure what all it encompasses? We will have a Livestock Program information meeting on Monday, January 23rd, 5:30 p.m., at the Extension Office. If you plan to attend, please RSVP HERE so we can get a head count.

We’re bringing back our ROOKIE ROUND! This is a chance for youth ages 3-18 who have never participated in our Livestock Show to get in the ring. They will be paired up with one of our showmen and their project animal to learn/see what the excitement is all about! Simply SIGNUP HERE to participate. Registration will close at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 18th.

Project Books –NOW LIVESTOCK LOGS

Project Books are an important part of your Livestock journey. They help you keep track of what you learn, what you’re spending, and will be useful when filling out future applications to remember what you’ve participated in. Every child participating in the Livestock Show is required to complete a Livestock Log on their animal by Friday, May 19th. A $5 deduction from their checks will be made for every business day they are late. *Please type these pages and check over for spelling, grammar, and typos. ALL pages and sections should be filled in. Blank pages will not be accepted.

Your child’s Livestock Log will be emailed to you Friday, February 10th.
