4-H Presentations

4-H Presentations are a huge part of North Carolina 4-H. It is one of the most successful ways to help a young person learn how to do a public speech. It focuses on members teaching others what they know about a particular project/subject matter. They are sometimes called demonstrations or illustrated talk or a formal speech.

District Activity Day 4-H Presentation Competition will be held all online. The rules and regulations for the presentation are the same as in previous years. For 2021, 4-H’ers must submit a video following specific guidelines.

Visit the Presentation page for more information on categories and regulations, or contact Ms. Lauren.

County Activity Day

This year we are going to conduct a County Activity Day. This runs much the same as District Activity Day but only those from our county participate. Since this year is virtual, we will judge video presentations just like they will at the district and state level.

Deadline to REGISTER for County Activity Day is April 16th.

Deadline to Submit your video presentation is May 3rd.

After the judging has been conducted on the county level, scoresheets will be returned and participants will have an opportunity to re-tape their presentations before sending them to the district level based on the feedback given.

If you would like help videoing your presentation, please make an appointment with Ms. Lauren (lauren_nelson@ncsu.edu)
