National 4-H Week
October 1-7, 2023
It is time to show your 4-H spirit! National 4-H Week is a week-long celebration to recognize the nation’s largest youth development organization. This year’s celebration will start on Sunday, October 1st and go through Saturday, October 7th. First started as rural corn and canning clubs, 4-H now offers youth in towns, on farms, and in big cities the opportunity to participate in everything from robotics and shooting sports to animal projects and public speaking.
Tyrrell County 4-H is celebrating by hosting a 4-H Spirit Week in Tyrrell County Schools as well as on our social media channels. Each day, be on the lookout for our theme and dress accordingly for the day. If you post a picture of your outfit in the comments on that day’s post, you are entered for a chance to win some 4-H Swag!

2023 Coloring Contest is open to EVERYONE! We will have many winners and want to see everyone’s creativity! Coloring sheets will be distributed to TCS students on Monday, Oct. 2, and available for pick up at the Tyrrell County Library. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, Oct. 5, at one of the TCS locations, the Library, or the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Tyrrell County Center.
