Spring Break 4-H Programs
Tyrrell County 4-H is excited to offer two engaging programs during spring break: It’s Slime Time! and the Strategic Leadership Experience.
It’s Slime Time! will take place on Monday, April 6, giving participants a hands-on opportunity to witness a chemical reaction in action. Each participant will also create and take home their own handcrafted slime.
Our second program, the Strategic Leadership Experience, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8. Participants will travel to the beach for an action-packed session at OBX Laser Tag, where they’ll build teamwork and leadership skills in a fun, high-energy environment.
Both sessions are currently full.
Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale
The 77th Annual Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at Tyrrell Hall in Columbia, NC. This year, 26 youth exhibitors will showcase 31 animals in the show.
The event is open to the public, and we warmly invite everyone to attend and support our participants. Tyrrell County 4-H will operate a concession stand starting at 12:00 p.m. The livestock show begins at 2:00 p.m., followed by Nixon’s BBQ plates at 5:00 p.m. (available until sold out). The evening will conclude with the awards presentation and auction at 7:00 p.m.
Community members are also encouraged to take part in a silent auction hosted by the Livestock Committee. All proceeds will benefit the Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Club and will be used to support future livestock shows.
