Re-Enrollment for 2026 is NOW AVAILABLE!

Please Read over our RE-ENROLLMENT LETTER, before enrolling.

**NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO PICK NEW CLUBS, PLEASE ONLY CHOOSE CLUBS YOUR CHILD IS ALREADY ATTENDING.**

Hi 4-H Families,

North Carolina 4-H uses an online system called 4-HOnline 2.0 to manage memberships, clubs, projects, activities, and program communication. All youth members and volunteers who participate in North Carolina 4-H are required to have a 4-HOnline 2.0 profile.

4-HOnline 2.0 accounts are family-based, meaning each family creates one master account with a login and password. Individual profiles are then added under the family account for each youth member or volunteer.

To help families navigate the system, North Carolina 4-H has created a 4-HOnline 2.0 Resource Site with helpful materials, including:
• Family Enrollment Guide
• How to Re-Enroll
• Member Password Support
• 4-H Club Leader Guide to Using 4-HOnline 2.0

Who Needs to Enroll?

All active North Carolina 4-H youth members and volunteers must enroll in 4-HOnline 2.0.

Youth Members
• Cloverbuds: Ages 5–7 (as of January 1)
• Members: Ages 8–18 (must not have turned 19 before January 1 of the program year)

Volunteers
Adults who plan to work with youth in any capacity—such as assisting with club meetings or activities—should enroll as volunteers.

Some events may allow participants who are not currently enrolled members; however, these opportunities are limited.

What Do I Need to Enroll?

To complete enrollment you will need:
• A computer or tablet
• Internet access
• A valid email address
• A supported web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari)

Internet Explorer is not compatible with 4-HOnline 2.0.

Where Do I Enroll?

Enrollment is completed online through 4-HOnline 2.0.

Families who participated in North Carolina 4-H between 2018–2020 may already have an existing family profile. If so, please use your previous login information to access your account.

Do NOT create a new account if your family already has one.

If you need help accessing your existing profile, please review the support guides or contact Emilou_Spruill@ncsu.edu for assistance.

Security and Privacy

4-HOnline 2.0 is a secure enrollment and data management system currently used in 46 states. The system complies with PCI Security Standards, and the North Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program and NC State University work closely with developers to ensure information is protected. Personal information is not shared or sold to third-party vendors without your knowledge or permission.

Enrollment Information Updates

The 4-HOnline 2.0 system collects much of the same information previously gathered through paper forms, with a few updates:

  • Families will now select the youth member’s school district and school. Homeschool families can enter their homeschool group and select “Homeschool.”
  • Youth members and volunteers complete health forms that include general health and dietary information.
  • Volunteers must now complete a standardized health form as part of their volunteer application.

Please note that background checks for volunteers are completed separately through the county 4-H office for individuals working directly with youth.

Creating a New Family Profile

When setting up your family account, you will need to provide:
• Primary county of participation
• Email address
• Last name
• Account password
• Military club affiliation (if applicable)

After creating the family profile, you can add members by selecting “Add a New Family Member” and choosing:

  • Youth – for youth ages 5–18 joining 4-H
  • Adult – for individuals applying to become 4-H volunteers

Please note that adult profiles are only for volunteers, not parents or guardians who are not volunteering.

Incomplete Profiles

If you begin a profile and do not finish it, your progress will be automatically saved. Profiles may show the status of Incomplete, Pending, or Active. Once submitted, your local 4-H agent will review and approve the profile. You will receive an email notification when the enrollment is approved.

Spanish Enrollment Documents

Spanish-language enrollment is not currently available within the 4-HOnline 2.0 system. Spanish enrollment forms can be downloaded using the provided link.

Summary

4-HOnline 2.0 is the official enrollment system for the North Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program. Each family creates one account, and individual youth and volunteer profiles are added under that account. The system allows members, volunteers, and 4-H staff to easily manage enrollment, activities, and communication.
