Do you have a special talent you want to share? Do you know a lot about something and want to tell others about it? Do you want to grow your public speaking skills?
Northeast District Activity Day
Is the perfect thing for you!
What is it?
District Activity Day is a 4-H competition in which youth compete with others of their age group in presentations and talent. Those that win in their age group have the opportunity to go on to the state competition
4-H Presentations are a huge part of North Carolina 4-H. It is one of the most successful ways to help a young person learn how to do a public speech. It focuses on members teaching others what they know about a particular project/subject matter. They are sometimes called demonstrations or illustrated talk or formal speech.
How do I get started?
Start by picking a topic for your presentation after reading our
information on categories. Then
REGISTER for our County Activity Day on Wednesday, June 8th. This is an opportunity to practice your presentation or talent act to get tips and tricks on improving your performance. Finally, you'll need to make sure you are enrolled in
4-HOnline to compete in the District and State event.
