Financial Report from the 77th Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Show
The 2026 Tyrrell County 4-H Livestock Show and Sale was an overwhelming success and a powerful reminder of what this community does when it rallies behind its youth. The support shown this year was exceptional, with a total of $81,621.75 generated—averaging $3,139 per child. Compared to 2025, the show welcomed one additional participant and increased total proceeds by $16,953.03, a 26.2% rise in funds raised. More than just numbers, this growth reflects a community that truly showed up for our 4-H’ers—standing behind them, investing in their hard work, and demonstrating the value placed on their efforts and future.
Tyrrell County 4-H Summer Fun
Tyrrell County 4-H “Summer Fun” will kick off on June 5, with approximately 120 youth expected to participate in 17 programs this summer. The program offers engaging, hands-on learning opportunities for school-aged youth enrolled in 4-H, encouraging participants to explore new interests, develop practical skills, and experience educational activities beyond the traditional classroom setting during their summer break.

NC 4-H Congress
State 4-H Congress returns July 20–24, 2026! This premier statewide event brings together 4-H members from across North Carolina for a week of leadership development, fellowship, tradition, and memorable experiences unique to NC 4-H. Registration is now open for youth ages 13–18. To register, please visit NC 4-H Congress Registration. The county registration deadline is Wednesday, June 24, and the cost is $250 per participant.
